Our Mentoring Programme is open to third- and fourth-year students, offering them the chance to connect with experienced professionals who have relevant industry experience related to each student’s course. Mentors offer four one-hour sessions to discuss your questions, career aspirations, and help you determine if the industry or profession aligns with your goals.
All third- and fourth-year students are eligible to apply for a mentor. If you have lived in Scotland for at least three years before starting higher education, we strongly encourage you to apply for a mentor and join the programme.
Some postgraduate students may also participate in the mentoring programme, though priority is given to undergraduate students due to funding requirements. However, we encourage all students to apply as a way to further their careers.
Who Are the Mentors?
We have a diverse range of mentors available across all courses within QMU. Please download the current mentor list before completing your application.
This programme allows students to meet one mentor four x 1 hours to discuss careers aspirations, industry experience and any other questions or development aspects unique to you. This dedicated resource is provided to 50 QMU students every year.
This programme encourages skill development, expands professional networks, and prepares students for future leadership roles.
