Summer Intern: Research / Marketing Intern
Location: Primarily based at 2 Cheviot House, Mill Wynd, Haddington, East Lothian EH42 1TE

  • -Some remote working available
  • -Free parking/accessible by bus from Haddington town centre

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 5:00pm (1 hour for lunch)
Start Date: ASAP – flexible around university term dates
End Date: Up to end of September 2025 (accommodating pre-booked holidays)

About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic Research and/or Marketing Intern(s) to join our Marketing Team. This opportunity is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in customer research, marketing strategy, and content development.

Depending on the candidate's area of study, this may be split into one or two positions focusing on either research or marketing—or a combination of both.

Key Responsibilities

Internship Duties

Research: To gain deeper insights into our customer base and personas.

  • Review existing customer questionnaire data
  • Devise a strategic approach to query our customer database
  • Create and draft online surveys
  • Issue email surveys through our CRM (HubSpot)
  • Analyse and chart survey results

Marketing: To create compelling content that increases bookings and enhances search visibility.

  • Use analytics tools to identify high-interest topics
  • Develop content across multiple formats (written, visual, video)
  • Repurpose content for different platforms and audiences

Compensation

This is an internship position and not a salaried role.

  • Pay: £50 per day
  • Expenses: All approved costs reimbursed with receipts

About You

We’re looking for candidates who:

  • Are proactive and curious, with a passion for research or digital marketing
  • Have strong communication and analytical skills
  • Are comfortable using digital tools and platforms
  • Are organised and can work independently
  • Have experience using relevant software (e.g., Excel, survey tools, CRM systems, Google Analytics)
